Unique Soviet Watches In The Italian Market: The Beginning

@timebehindtheironcurtain Hello comrades. Today, I would like to write about Soviet watches imported into the Italian market in the late 1980s. It was highly fashionable to be seen wearing a “Soviet style” piece, as is evident from this article. The watches were imported by two main companies, Time Trend and Mirabilia. Vostok Precision

@therussianwatchcorner Today, I want to show you one of my favourite watches built in the Soviet Union, the Vostok Precision. It is probably the first watch with chronometer certification manufactured for use by the civilian population. But why do I think it is a special watch? Let’s find out. From the mid-50s until the late 60s, many watch brands, movements, and designs came out of the Soviet watch factories… The Soviet watch industry at the time enjoyed an incredible boom, both in terms of modernisation and production numbers. I believe…

The First Chistopol Wristwatch. The Seed Of The Vostok Factory.

@therussianwatchcorner As the title of this post indicates, I would like to introduce the first wristwatch from the Chistopol factory produced in a case with fixed lugs and a logo on the dial. In case you did not know it, the Chistopol factory was the seed of the much-loved Vostok brand. As you might have guessed, it is this original model that inspired the current, and so in vogue, Vostok Retro, a piece that commemorates the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Chistopol factory. Although I will be discussing…
