XXL ADVENTURE SIZE
Lift anchor and cast off for the Arctic with this limited-edition model with its stature and performances which are as impressive as that of the explorer.
Discover new horizons whilst becoming involved in studying and preserving our planet. This is Mike Horn’s next objective with an expedition to the Arctic on-board his 35-meter sailing vessel, Pangaea. Panerai offers everyone the opportunity to take part in an incredible experience by accompanying its brand ambassador on his journey by purchasing one of the 5 Submersible EcopangaeaTM Tourbillon GMT 50mm Mike Horn Edition watches proposed for sale. This ultra-limited series features an outstanding case crafted from the recycled metal taken from the drive shaft of Mike Horn’s ship. This creation is used to center stage breathtaking skeletonized architecture which hosts the essential time data. The hour, minute and GMT hands hover over alternating dots and indexes. All these objects are coated with Super-LumiNova® to ensure excellent luminosity in the dark. A small seconds is displayed at 9 o’clock, a day/night indicator at 3 o’clock.
Thanks to a trio of barrels, the watch delivers a power reserve of 6 days and the wearer can check how much energy is left at any time. Moreover, the hand-wound P. 2005/T movement is the first-ever tourbillon caliber to nestle in a model of this collection designed for adventure. To ensure it’s not affected by the negative impact of magnetic fields, an iron ring encircles the mechanism.
The PAM 01108 is proposed with two straps, one in black rubber and the other made from recycled PET material (polymer used in plastic bottles) set off with anthracite-colored overstitching.
