One of the things that I appreciate most about Hermès is the brand’s subtlety in design. No matter which of the objects you take in hand, it has that sense of understated luxury. Hermès achieves this by combining high-quality materials and craftsmanship with a certain restraint in expression. That also makes this brand the first that comes to my mind when talking about Parisian chic. In this light, the Hermès Arceau is a stroke of brilliance. It is rare that an asymmetrical watch case works so well – and for…Leer más
It’s fair to say that Hamilton is a brand that’s a Worn & Wound staple. We cover them frequently and are genuinely big fans of their catalog, from retro military inspired pieces, to sporty chronographs, and their many watches with connections to film. But there are still a lot of watches under the Hamilton banner […]

Blancpain’s Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe is now available with a blue dial combined with a Sedna® gold case. The 43 mm x 13.40 mm Bathyscaphe case is made from Sedna® gold — the Swatch Group’s proprietary 18K red gold alloy made of gold, copper, and palladium — engineered to prevent the reddish hue from fading as it does in typical red or rose gold. Similar to Rolex’s Everose gold, Sedna® gold is also used by the Swatch Group’s Omega brand. A dark blue sunburst brushed dial is framed by the solid gold…Leer más
It’s bling but not quite as you know it! Blancpain is offering all the luster of gold but with all durability that one would expect to find on a high-quality Swiss diver. This is the new Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Sedna® Gold, a watch crafted from Sedna® gold – a gold, copper and palladium alloy with all the looks of red gold but with added durability. The Bathyscaphe is one of Blancpain’s old school diver’s watches, it was reissued in 2013 as modern interpretation as a celebration of the 60th anniversary…Leer más
Omega is often the target of (mostly) good natured jabs from the watch enthusiast community for their tendency to reintroduce the Speedmaster in limited edition guises that may stretch the definition of the word “limited” in the first place. But you can’t blame them: the Moonwatch is one of only a small handful of truly […]

When it comes to Rolex’s sports watches, the focus is often on their famed Daytona, GMT-Master, Explorer of Submariner, rather than the Yacht-Master. Even today can the Yacht-Master be considered a new kid on the block, as this model wasn’t introduced until 1992 and doesn’t have such a long history as the other Rolex sports models mentioned. Some refer to it as the Submariner’s casual sibling, and there is some truth to this. While visually, it has some similarities, there are also differences. The 60-minute graduated bezel is bidirectional, and Yacht-Master is ‘only’ waterproof to 100 meters. In effect, this makes it the perfect watch for people who enjoy all kinds of water sports but don’t scuba dive. READ MORE

Hey, do remember MAALS? We went hands on with their first model (right here) a little over two years ago, and now they’re back with their latest creation, just launched today on Kickstarter: the MAALS Giri Ventiquattro. While the MAALS Giri Ventiquattro is a wholly new watch, they’ve still kept touches that tie it to the first one – primarily, their silhouette logo (which is the two brothers) and the triangular accent (inspired by Alfa Romeo). Also, if you flip the watch over, you’ll see the astronaut reappearing, this time…Leer más
