Driving the central hours and minute hands (local time), the small seconds at 6 o’clock, the date at 2 o’clock, and the second time zone (home time) at 9 o’clock is caliber UN-24 which is the subject at a patent (since 1994) for the instant time zone adjustment of the second time zone which happens by pressing either of the pushers on the left side of the case, advancing or retarding the hour, which is display in a 24-hour time format (and is typically used to keep track of home time, but can also be set to local time or whatever time zone you prefer). The two aperture date display is also patented.

With the refresh of the model, Ulysse Nardin incorporated crossing Xs going from the center to the edge and that also acts as eight of the hour markers. The other four hour markers, located at the poles, are transferred Roman numerals. Small luminous squares along the chapter ring represent the hour (or every five minutes).

The dials feature a sunburst finish, with a contrasting frosted finish in the center rectangle, and an azurage stamped guilloche surface inside the small seconds subdial. Large skeletonized hour and minute hands, with lume, display the local time. The fixed bezels are color-matched to each respective dial, and sapphire crystal protects the dial side.

Ulysse Nardin’s caliber UN-24, which has dual patents as mentioned above, is automatically wound by a brushed skeletonized oscillating weight, visible through the sapphire caseback, and has 34 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve. The movements have circular Geneva stripes on the bridges, and perlage on the mainplate.
